I’m Jamie. I build spaces and products that people love.
For the past decade I’ve built and run businesses where software meets physical space: workplaces, hospitality and two-sided marketplaces, in London, New York and California. I work on both sides of that line, finding, negotiating and opening the spaces, then building the teams, vendors and technology that run them every day.
I co-founded Groundfloor, a venture-backed workspace company, and have led it as CEO for five years. We built five workspaces across California that have served more than 4,000 members, with coverage in Forbes, The Guardian and the Los Angeles Times.
I led site selection and negotiated every lease, owned budget, schedule and opening date on each buildout, and ran the P&L. I then rebuilt the operating model around software and AI agents, which now handle reconciliation, support and member communications. The sites now host 300+ events a month with no on-site staff.

Before Groundfloor I was Head of Finance and Operations at Zamna, an aviation identity company whose technology verifies passenger data for airlines including British Airways and Emirates. I ran finance and operations, managed investor relations, and helped take the product through enterprise procurement at major airlines.
Earlier I was Head of Operations at Fat Llama, a Y Combinator peer-to-peer rental marketplace backed by Greylock and Atomico and later acquired by Hygglo, where I ran daily operations across the UK and New York. Before that I built and scaled the field operation at Hostmaker, a London company running private homes to hotel standard for their owners. I started out as co-founder and COO of Hulah, a Denver travel tech startup that sold a minority stake to Travelport.
I trained in architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and came to the US as a Fulbright Scholar studying social enterprise.
